Laura Goodes

Registered Psychotherapist (RP)

Our world is more connected than ever, and yet, perhaps you are feeling very alone.  Maybe you are reluctant to ask for help for fear that no one will understand your struggles or doubt that anyone can support you. Perhaps you're not sure how or where to start and it feels overwhelming to even try.

Acknowledging that you are struggling and reaching out for help is a courageous step toward easing your troubles and alleviating feelings of despair. I am here to help you by creating a safe and caring environment that will ensure you feel supported and nurtured through the challenges and triumphs of your therapy journey.

My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in the belief that every individual possesses untapped inner strengths and resources waiting to be harnessed. I understand that you are unique, and I will take the time to get to know you personally, ensuring that I tailor my approach to suit your specific needs. Together, we will work collaboratively to define clear and achievable therapeutic goals. Guided by a person-centered, humanistic, and eclectic approach, I employ tools from various modalities, including ACT and CBT, while remaining trauma-informed.

I'm truly passionate about helping individuals discover their authentic selves, reach their goals, and live in harmony with their core values. With a broad range of experience across various life domains, I'm equipped to assist with a wide variety of challenges.

Together, we'll navigate life's complexities, uncover your unique strengths, and forge a path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Your potential is boundless, and I'm committed to helping you unlock it

A quote that describes the therapeutic process for me is from Victor Frankl:
"What is to give light must endure burning."
