Laura Brouillette

In our hyper-connected world, we know where to go for information. In fact, we have all the knowledge in the world, right at our fingertips. But where do we go for wisdom?

As a psychotherapy intern, I am here to help those who feel that they have become cut off from themselves and from that guiding voice inside. Do you struggle to know what is right for you? Do you feel pulled in all directions, by your peers, by societal expectations, by your own idea of who you should be? Do you want to develop self-trust and create a life you are proud to call your own? Do you want to have deep, meaningful relationships with others, where you are showing up fully and authentically?

I believe we can create a safe environment together, where you can truly discover and understand all parts of yourself, allowing your inner wisdom to blossom. My eclectic and integrative approach helps us explore the roots of your current "stuckness" and highlight what you need in order to create space for change. Because everyone is unique, I draw upon various modalities such as Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems Therapy to meet your treatment goals in a way that feels aligned. My wish is for you to emerge from therapy more grounded, more in touch, more you.

There is a beautiful quote by Rainer Maria Rilke in “Letters to a Young Poet” that summarizes my ethos well: “To love does not mean to surrender, dissolve, and merge with another person. It is the noble opportunity for an individual to ripen, to become something in and of himself. To become a world in response to another.”

Let us seize this noble opportunity together!
